I have been lucky enough to have not one, but two, wonderful baby showers. The latest one was a few weeks ago, put on by my sisters, Kristalyn and Cindy. It was absolutely lovely! Not a lot of people were able to come (I'm beginning to think Saturday morning's at 11 are probably the worst time to do things -- that's when Forrest tried to throw me a surprise party that only two people could come to, haha), but it was still a lot of fun!
First off, the food was absolutely delicious...take a gander at all these yummy treats (that I ate WAY too much of!)
 |
| Yummy punch, chex mix (best recipe ever, I must add!) |
 |
| Veggie tray, chips and salsa.. |
 |
| "Crack Dip" with breads and chips, and spinach artichoke dip (it was still in the oven at this point!) |
 |
| Cookies and cupcakes! |
I'm wanting some of that food again now! The decorations were so cute too, even though the banner would not stay on the wall. Everything was blue, which was so fun. Not purposelly, but our baby definitely has tons of blue clothes! But that's fine with me. Especially after I read an article today about this couple who just barely "revealed" their child's gender at the age of 5 because they wanted to raise him genderless. Maybe I'm a terrible person (but not really), but I hope our boy will definitely embrace his gender! haha.
Some of the guests...

| Phoebe slept so well through the whole party! |

| This picture cracks me up! |
I realize I don't have pictures of all the guests, but nonetheless, I appreciated everyone coming. We played a few real fun games. There was the "guess the total price of everything on the tray" game. I got pretty close, but I think my cousin Julianna won in the end. But I got all the goodies, so I think I was the real winner! Cindy came up with another fun game, where everyone wrote our my name (we went with Kathryn because there were more letters) and Forrest's, and everyone had to come up with as many boy names as they could using the letters. Some of the names people came up with were rather creative. My friend Cortney thought that just the first letter had to be used, so we all thought it was pretty funny when she started listing off names that did not have letters from our names in it! We also got lots of fun gifts that I know the baby will absolutely love!
I had such a great time and I'm so grateful for everyone that came! This baby is sure loved :) Later that evening, my sister-in-law, Meredith, came down from Salt Lake (she had to work during the shower :(), brought us a few cute things for the baby, and we hung out with her for awhile. It was a really fun day!

I feel really sad because i don't can't be in any of the baby showers :( I can't believe the baby will be arriving so soon and he can be Benji's best friend :)
